Transparent Pricing and Tailored Services
I understand that each genealogical project is unique, and it would be unfair to provide a flat hourly rate without first assessing the scope of the work involved. To ensure clarity and fairness, here’s how my process works:
Initial Consultation: After a free initial consultation to understand your research needs, I will provide you with a detailed quotation tailored to the complexity and scale of your project.
Research hours includes the following :
- Research planning
- Online or Archive research
- Making translations, transcriptions, abstracts
- Analysis
- Reporting
- Consulting
- Communications , including in-person, telephone, Skype, Zoom or email consultations
Rates for 2025 are

Flexible Pricing Options:
- For comprehensive research projects, an hourly rate may be more appropriate. In such cases, we would agree on a budget before starting the work, ensuring you have complete peace of mind and no surprises at the end.
- Alternatively, I can offer a fixed-price estimate if the project scope is clearly defined.
Additional Costs:
While my research fees cover most of the work, there may be some optional, additional expenses, such as:
- Purchase of original documents (e.g., birth, marriage, or death certificates).
- Local or International Travel
- Photographs of gravestones, family homes, or churches.
- Postal charges (if documents or materials cannot be sent electronically).
These additional costs will always be discussed and agreed upon in advance, so you’ll know exactly what to expect.
Payment Terms:
Once a work plan has been agreed, I will issue an invoice for 10% of the amount, which will allow me to begin your project. For large or multi-phase projects, we will establish and agree upon a structured project and payment plan.
Payments are accepted via Bank Transfer or Paypal.
